Where the latest updates are.

Sir Davaid Attenborough, an expert in animal science, tells us about the amphibian crisis.
The Zoological Society of London is working alongside Amphibian Ark (AArk), which was founded to carry out an Amphibian Conservation Action Plan.
AArk rescues amphibian species to bring them into "protective custody" in dedicated biosecure facilities at zoos,
aquariums, botanical gardens, research centres, and other institutions around the world for safekeeping and breeding.
These rescued amphibians will be released back into the wild when the original threats have been controlled
A basic description is given below.

Amphibians face a mass extinction. Reasons, and how you can actually help are are below.
Kevin Zippel from Amphibian Ark explains it all

An Intoduction
Amphibian species are becoming extinct at a pace never seen before. Now, scientists have gathered enough evidence to assert that humanity might be facing on of the biggest extinction crisis of recent times. In 2004, the Global Amphibian Assessment conducted by the World Conservation Union (IUCN) revealed that one-third to one-half of the world’s 6,000 amphibian species are currently threatened with extinction and over 120 have already disappeared. If no immediate action is taken to address this problem, it will not be long before these species are vanished from the face of our world. It is important that we raise awareness among national governments, world media, school educators, corporations, and the general public about the fragility of amphibians and the enormous responsibility that each of us has for trying to rescue the highest number of species from extinction. An action plan was carried out(research assessment, long-term programs (including conservation programs, protection of key sites for amphibian survival, reintroductions, and control of harvesting), and short term programs to address the immediate and most emergency issues)to help slow down and solve this problem.

Dated 9-3-08 =)

Frogs live in a delicate and fragile environment.
But we humans destroy the earth for industry.
due to that, there has been a fungus infection on the frogs
due to the rising temperatures.

this results in them dying off.
Frogs serve many purposes
and we have harmed them
this is known as the amphibian crisis.
